Job Summary
Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. Deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification. Prepare rooms and equipment for patients, transfer them to treatment couches, and observe for unusual reactions or complications during treatment. Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students' practical ability to perform procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T)
- Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
