Job Summary
Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department delivering precise ionizing radiation per physician prescription, operating radiation-producing equipment with safety protocols, performing complex treatment procedures, and participating in Quality Control. Responsibilities include patient assessment, EMR documentation, assisting others, recognizing limitations, reporting adverse reactions, simulating new patients, and notifying management of discrepancies. Includes on-call rotation, involvement as a student clinical instructor for RTT/RTR students, and adherence to WellStar policies. ARRT-T credential and completion of an accredited radiation therapy program required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited radiation therapy program
- Minimum 2 years Experience in Radiation Therapy
- Active in on-call rotation
- ARRT-T - ARRT Radiation Therapy
