Medical Documentation Specialist

Medical Documentation Specialist role within Pediatric Home Service focused on ensuring complete and accurate medical records per regulatory standards, auditing records, coordinating with prescribers, and supporting data processing for health information systems. Responsibilities include inputting medical records, locating health data for research, maintaining health record indexes, assisting in research, preparing inputs for computerized medical information systems, processing information for hospital admits/discharges, updating patient records, managing prescriber databases, and on-call duties as needed. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, in-office environment and communicate effectively across in-person, email, and phone channels while maintaining a customer-service mindset. Preferred experience with DME intake/admissions and Brightree EHR; high school diploma or GED; proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing software; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
