Job Summary
Provide health care to patients including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative or acute care as team leader. Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, make diagnoses, order laboratory and diagnostic procedures, and evaluate results. Develop and implement patient care plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient education on self-management and wellness. Document exams and progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record, collect and report patient outcomes, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Lead the clinical office staff and supervise shadowing medical students, physician extenders, and nursing interns. Meet quality benchmarks established by Population Health, Payors, NYS DOH, or CMS. Share night and weekend call coverage with other physicians. Build a patient population base to generate revenue.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO Graduate
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Medicine
- NYS Licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Post graduate experience in a group practice or group setting
- Experience in OB/GYN
- Experience in GYN advanced laparoscopic surgery
- Fluent in Spanish
