Medical Doctor - Family Medicine

Faculty attending physician for a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at UPMC Altoona. ABFM or AOBFP certification in family medicine or internal medicine with board eligibility/certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is sought to join our team. The role supports inpatient consultations, outpatient palliative clinic work, and care at local nursing homes, within a university-affiliated program. The fellowship is affiliated with UPMC Graduate Medical Education and Altoona Family Physicians, with a focus on hands-on training, resident and fellow education, and collaboration with subspecialists. The team includes four physicians, four advanced practice providers, a fellow, social worker, pharmacist, and medical assistant/secretary, plus program leadership. The fellow has opportunities to learn across subspecialties and participate in geriatric rotations and inpatient medicine coverage.
