Job Summary

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patient pain issues using a multimodal approach including medication, interventional management, physical therapy, and bracing. Interpret medical tests, explain procedures and results to patients, and monitor compliance with treatment plans such as urine drug screens. Complete all administrative tasks, maintain legible medical records, and liaise with medical assistants, nurses, and other clinical staff. Collaborate with the administrative team to optimize clinic functionality, assist with marketing as needed, and mentor new medical staff. Adhere to company policies, quality improvement objectives, and safety standards while ensuring equitable treatment for all patients. Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops and publications.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain current licensure as a medical doctor in the state in which services are performed.
  • Must possess and maintain a current DEA license.
  • Medical Degree (MD/DO)
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
  • Must have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public.
  • Must be able to work individually as well as within a team.
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be able to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong organization skills.
  • Must be able to problem solve and use reasoning.
  • Must be able to meet predefined quality standards.
  • Must maintain and project a professional attitude and appearance at all time.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical specialty, as well as medical terminology.
  • If working in the ASC, must provide proof of influenza vaccination annually.
  • If working in the ASC, must complete two (2)-step PPD.
  • Must complete all regulatory competencies prior to beginning work in the ASC.
  • Must be able to effectively oversee, manage and direct a team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
  • Must have a compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel to any of the Company's locations.

Desired Qualifications

  • May be required to possess a current ACLS and BLS certification, depending on regional requirements.
  • One (1) year of prior experience working in a Pain Management practice.
  • One (1) year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • One (1) year of experience within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or performing in-office procedures.
