Job Summary
Physician — Adult Psychiatrist at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fort Smith, AR. Full-time; Board Eligible/Certified in Psychiatry; MD/DO required with active, unrestricted license. Daily schedule includes Monday-Friday with potential nights, weekends and on-call. Responsibilities include assessment/evaluation and medication management of veterans with mental health conditions (PTSD, substance use disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and related conditions); educate staff hospital-wide about psychiatric needs and work with families of patients receiving psychiatric care. VA benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited institution
- completed residency training leading to board eligibility/certification
- active, current, unrestricted license
