Job Summary
Champion clinical excellence by remaining an active clinician while mentoring specialists, emergency veterinarians, interns, and residents. Foster a collaborative medical culture through daily rounds, collaborative case management, and knowledge sharing across specialties. Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, operational improvements, and hospital growth to shape the future of one of Canada's premier specialty hospitals. Develop medical protocols, SOPs, and best practices while leading doctor meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Serve as Veterinarian of Record to ensure regulatory compliance and deliver an exceptional client and referral experience.
Required Qualifications
- DVM (or equivalent) eligible for licensure in Ontario
- Experience in a specialty or emergency hospital
- Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership style
- Passion for coaching and developing veterinary professionals
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
- Ability to balance clinical excellence with hospital performance and growth
