Job Summary
Medical Director, UK & Ireland role leading the UK & Ireland Medical Affairs function within Mundipharma. Lead the Medical Affairs team, develop and execute Medical Plans for Anti-Infectives including rezafungin in invasive fungal disease, ensure robust medical governance and compliance, be a medical spokesperson, and build external scientific partnerships. Drive strategic medical input as a member of the UK Leadership Team, manage the Medical Affairs budget, collaborate with Global Medical Operations, Regulatory, Drug Safety, R&D, Legal, and Compliance, and oversee materials review to meet codes of practice. Requires an MD or MPharm (MD strongly preferred), 7+ years in Medical Affairs, 2+ years clinical practice, experience in Anti-Infectives, ABPI Medical Signatory expertise, GMC revalidation, and strong leadership. Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor or Pharmacist (MD strongly preferred)
- Certification MD, MPharm, or equivalent
- GMC revalidation (for MDs)
- 7+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs
- 2+ years’ clinical practice experience
- Experience in Anti-Infectives (clinical or industry)
- Prior experience as a Country Medical Director (desirable)
- ABPI Medical Signatory expertise (mandatory)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of Clinical Development/Operations (desirable)
