Job Summary
Provide clinical leadership and strategic medical guidance for developing new neurology therapeutics, including designing clinical development plans that support registration trials. Collaborate with clinical scientists, operations, and subject matter experts to develop trial protocols, select investigators, and ensure safe, ethical conduct under Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Act as the medical monitor for assigned studies, review clinical data for accurate interpretation, and liaise with regulatory authorities, advisory boards, and patient advocacy groups. Maintain current knowledge of disease area dynamics and internal/external trends to inform strategy while supporting business development activities.
Required Qualifications
- MD with Board-certification (or equivalent expertise) with a neurology specialty
- Clinical practice experience ≥ 4 years
- Additional lab-based science training
- PhD
- Experience leading complex, global, early phase clinical programs from the pharma/biotech industry and/or credible experience from an academic medical center
- Experience working with the principles and techniques of data analysis, interpretation, and clinical relevance
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of Good Clinical Practice
- Impeccable personal ethical integrity and a commitment to improving the outcomes for patients
- This position is classified as exempt
