Job Summary
Medical Directors in VEG lead emergency veterinary hospitals with ownership over medical excellence and team development. Responsibilities include cultivating a positive culture, fostering collaboration between doctors and technicians, leading faculty meetings, creating personalized development plans, heading patient safety initiatives, strategizing doctor recruitment and succession planning with the talent partner, working with market leadership on marketing strategies, maintaining doctor schedules, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires a DVM/VMD or equivalent, 5+ years of ER experience, and a passion for customer-focused care, with preferred training in emergency surgery/endoscopy and leadership mentorship. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays on rotation is expected. The position emphasizes servant leadership, integrity, humility, mentorship, and creating an environment focused on growth, learning, and exceptional care for patients and their families.
Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of traditional 24/7 ER experience and critical case management
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment
