Job Summary
Medical Director, Crisis & Urgent Care Services overseeing direct patient care, review of clinical histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans; prescribe medications when appropriate; order labs; involve families and collateral supports; provide clinical oversight to APPs under a collaborative physician agreement; develop and optimize care models and virtual/hybrid care pathways; ensure care delivery aligns with NC Medical Board guidelines; manage performance metrics and scheduling with leadership; drive program development for Monarch’s Behavioral Health Center; travel may be required. You will lead clinical operations, ensure safe, effective care for patients with mental illness and substance use disorders, and collaborate with external stakeholders to advance care delivery across Monarch’s North Carolina and Rhode Island programs.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO (Doctorate of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
- Board certifications in Addiction Medicine (ABPM) and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ABPN)
- ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency completed
- State medical license in Psychiatry
- Post-residency mental health clinical experience: 5 years (required)
- Post-residency mental health clinical management experience: 2 years (required)
- Experience treatment of children and adolescents with mental illness: 3 years (required)
