Medical Director - Primary Care

Job Summary
Direct clinical care of veterans with diagnosis and treatment, oversee clinical care for veterans enrolled in the clinic, serve as medical resource for care delivery, and drive excellent clinical outcomes through chart reviews and VA guidelines. Develop and maintain positive relationships with VA partners, support patient enrollment and retention by guiding scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits, and provide clinical leadership while maintaining a positive clinic culture. Dedicated admin time for documentation and care coordination is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO)
- Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
- 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
- Active state license and DEA in state of practice
- Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (to be renewed annually)
- Ability to provide clinical leadership
- Excellent computer skills; VA experience a plus - CPRS/VISTA GUI
