Job Summary
Medical Director and Clinical Psychiatrist for DWIHN's Direct Outpatient Clinics. Lead and supervise psychiatry/APP teams, provide medical direction, conduct psychiatric evaluations and treatment, oversee treatment planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Role combines ~80% direct patient care with 20% administrative leadership, including clinical supervision of clinicians, coordination with primary care and treatment teams, crisis intervention, and driving clinic operations across Wayne County and Michigan. Requires MD/DO, Psychiatry board certification (addiction psychiatry preferred), Michigan medical license, DEA, and BLS. Located at Detroit Outpatient Clinic with occasional travel to other sites.
Required Qualifications
- Required Education: Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited School of Medicine.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- NOTE: Additional Board certification in Addiction psychiatry is preferred.
- REQUIRED LICENSE(S): State of Michigan license to practice as a medical doctor; State of Michigan Controlled Substance License; A Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DEA); A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License; Basic Life Support (BLS).
