Medical Director of our Comprehensive Obesity Program

Job Summary
Conduct clinical care and open the first clinic for the Comprehensive Obesity Program, triaging patients into pathways for medical weight management, lifestyle medicine, and anti-obesity pharmacotherapy. Coordinate referrals with bariatric surgery offerings and primary care physicians while interpreting data to set benchmarks and drive program improvement. Provide close collaboration with pharmacy colleagues and educators to ensure safe use of GLP-1 therapies, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and accreditation standards. Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and dietitians to deliver patient-centered care. Play a key role in provider recruitment, education, mentorship, quality improvement, and strategic planning to expand services. Monday to Friday practice with potential onsite and virtual hours; sign-on bonus and relocation package available.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Endocrinology
- Active Florida medical license (or eligibility)
- Minimum of two years of experience treating obesity and obesity-related conditions
- Experience with value-based care, healthcare administration, utilization management, and multidisciplinary care models
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership, administrative, or program development experience preferred
- American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) certification strongly preferred
