Job Summary
Conduct rounds in medical and infirmary units, perform sick call visits, and manage chronic care for patients. Respond to medical emergencies and lead efforts to evaluate healthcare service quality. Coordinate educational activities, supervise staff physicians, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and court mandates. Collaborate with medical professionals to address diverse patient needs while adhering to correctional healthcare policies. Maintain a valid state license, DEA registration, and Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine. This role supports NaphCare's mission to advance correctional healthcare across the US.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Valid license as a physician in the state where the facility is located
- Possess a current DEA registration
- Currently certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Family or Internal Medicine
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
