Job Summary
Provide medical services for inmate diagnosis, treatment, and emergency care for staff and visitors. Perform complete medical histories, physical examinations, and interpret laboratory and radiological results to render appropriate treatments. Direct and control all clinical aspects of the program, including monitoring healthcare personnel, completing admission and progress notes, and making rounds on the medical unit. Serve in rotation for after-hours and weekend inmate care while ensuring compliance with ACA, MTC Medical, and Florida Department of Corrections directives. Implement cost containment, manage controlled substances, and provide health counseling. Full-time Monday through Friday position with a salary of $275,000 plus $25,000 relocation assistance at the Bay Correctional Facility in Panama City, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree
- Valid license to practice medicine in the state of Florida
- Current continuing education required by MTC Medical and professional regulatory board
- Current DEA certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Must attain and maintain appropriate facility security clearance
- Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements
