Job Summary
Operate the Hospitalist Program's administrative and clinical activities to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality patient-centered care. Represent the program on committees, foster communication with QMC staff, and mentor new Hospitalists. Collaborate with Medical Directors to align program efforts with system mission goals and drive performance against service level agreements. Provide input on service level agreements and oversee program operations to achieve quality and productivity targets. Support the QUMG vision as the preeminent academic medical group in the Pacific while maintaining unrestricted licensure in Hawaii and board certification in Internal Medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
- EC FMG certification
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii
- Current board certification in Internal Medicine
- Member of the applicable QHS hospitals' medical staff in good standing with appropriate privileges without restriction
- Five (5) years' experience in Hospitalist Medicine
Desired Qualifications
- Qualified for an appointment to the faculty of the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine
- Three (3) years of relevant administrative experience managing similar size program in multi-hospital facility
