Job Summary
Oversee a hybrid inpatient neurology consult service integrating daytime in-person care and remote overnight coverage across OHSU, Hillsboro Medical Center, and Adventist Health Portland. Respond and assess OHSU consults in-person during day shifts and answer community hospital consults remotely at night. Provide guidance to students and residents on care recommendations during night shifts only. Assess and treat tele-neurology patients via video connection, diagnose and prescribe therapy based on visual assessment, and route patients to higher levels of care as appropriate. Engage in workflow creation to delineate care between Neurology programs while maximizing trainee learning. Schedule includes 168 shifts annually averaging 14 per month, with four day shifts crossing the weekend.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Neurologist
- Approved staff privileges at OHSU and associated OHSU Health sites
- Undivided effort at the specified FTE level
