Job Summary
Medical Director opportunity in Phoenix, AZ to oversee clinical and operational policies, supervise providers, participate in recruitment and onboarding of medical staff, and partner with the Chief Clinical Officer to monitor provider performance across health centers. Responsibilities include liaison between providers and staff, developing and enforcing policies, auditing and evaluating providers, coordinating strategies for access, productivity, and revenue, and coordinating with other specialty medical directors to ensure consistency across service lines; requires residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB/GYN, active US license, and DEA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of clinical provider experience in a health care system with an excellent track record
- Two years of experience working in a management capacity in a health care institution or agency strong preference for community health center/FQHC background
- Proof of successful National Board completion or certification
- Completion of an accredited United States residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB/GYN as appropriate for the role
- Current license in good standing (If not in AZ must obtain before start date)
- Valid unrestricted DEA certificate
- Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and social status
