Job Summary
The Medical Director will provide direct patient addiction treatment and care according to professional guidelines, maintain collaborative agreements with psychiatric nurse practitioners, and develop clinical systems to ensure compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team and liaising with other departments regarding psychiatric care.
Required Qualifications
- Physician licensed and currently registered as such by the New York State Education Department
- Hold a Federal DATA 2000 waiver (buprenorphine-certified), within six months of employment
- Subspecialty board certification in addiction psychiatry from the American Board of Medical Specialties, or an addiction certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine, or a certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM), or a subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association
