Job Summary
Medical Director, Commercial oversees Utilization Management, quality and medical policy processes across lines of business. Responsibilities include Level I and II reviews, peer-to-peer clinical reviews, case reviews, and oversight of medical policies and standards; liaison with local physicians and hospitals; participation in policy development, training, teaching grand rounds, and leading committees; occasional evening work and travel within the health plan service region. Requires MD or DO, active board certification, unrestricted license, and minimum seven years of clinical practice; salary range $202k-$303k; remote work may be possible on a case-by-case basis.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Active board certification in Professional Medical Specialty
- Active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in a state or territory of the United States
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Not subject to pending disciplinary action
