Medical Director, Clinical Science, NS TAU- Sleep Medicine

Medical Director, Clinical Science, Neuroscience TAU- Sleep Medicine leads global development strategy for Takeda pipeline compounds, drives global development plan, and oversees multidisciplinary, multi-regional teams to inform regulatory approval across US/EU/Japan/China. Responsibilities include driving development strategy, creating and executing Clinical Development Plans and Protocols, providing input on budget and scope, monitoring ongoing studies, interpreting data, and making go/no-go recommendations. Serves as an advisor for synopses, protocols, and study design; leads medical monitoring, safety assessments, and interactions with regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders. Responsibilities also include due diligence, business development, alliance projects, and leading internal teams within a matrix global environment. Requires an MD or equivalent and 3+ years of clinical research experience in pharma/CRO, with sleep medicine expertise. Strong communication, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and ability to influence cross-functional teams are essential. The position is described as hybrid in Takeda’s policy and is based in Cambridge, MA, USA.
