Job Summary
Direct the Quality Committee, lead annual clinical planning, and monitor adherence to quality benchmarks and established protocols. Supervise clinical staff including nurse practitioners and physician assistants, while developing, implementing, and overseeing clinical policies and referral patterns. Provide direct board-certified medical services and approve provider schedules, including weekend call systems and after-hours coverage. Manage admitting privileges, collaborate on grant services, and attend board meetings to ensure continuity of care. Requires a medical degree, residency, and active Pennsylvania license with three years of clinical/supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in family medicine, internal medicine, or related specialty
- A minimum of two years' experience in a leadership role
- Experience in a primary care environment
- FQHC familiarity
- A Physician's license to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania
- Certification by an American Board of medical Specialties recognized board
- At least three years of clinical/supervisory experience with a primary care background
- Employment of necessary management techniques in the on-going supervision of clinical staff
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate results effectively
- Ability to set priorities and make decisions on critical health care problems and issues
- Interpersonal skills and qualities which earn the confidence and respect of both staff and the residents of the community
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, in collaborative settings
- Ability to utilize computer technology and develop and adapt to the evolving technological requirements of modern medical health center practices
- Sensitivity to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse patient and employee population
- Excellent problem-solving skills including creativity, resourcefulness, timeliness, and technical knowledge related to analyzing and resolving medical/administrative problems
- Ability to motivate staff, promote team building, and assume a leadership role within the clinical arena
- Completion of child abuse and criminal background checks
