Job Summary
Lead, grow, and support the Cardiovascular and Thoracic (CVT) team by ensuring optimal provider coverage, fostering professional development, and driving initiatives that enhance clinical productivity. Advance the visibility of the Cardiovascular Surgery Program through community education, outreach, and the development of a regionally integrated Cardiac Care network. Ensure clinical excellence by overseeing policy updates, care coordination, performance reviews, and continuous improvement opportunities. Promote financial sustainability by championing cost-effective practices across the office, CVICU, and CV Stepdown Unit. Collaborate with administrative and business development teams to support strategic growth, including new facilities and service lines aligned with VHC Health's mission. Participate in strategic planning and physician recruitment.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic or Vascular Surgery
- Eligible for Virginia licensure
- 5+ years of post-training experience
- Proven leadership in clinical or programmatic roles
