Job Summary
Oversee delivery of comprehensive care to patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities while providing ongoing clinical guidance and mentorship to medical staff. Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective clinicians, chair the quarterly Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee, and assist with Department of Health survey preparedness. Direct implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide direct patient care to residents and foster a collaborative environment promoting best practices and continuous professional development. Requires Certified Medical Director certification and extensive long-term care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Must be able to stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred
