Job Summary
Oversee delivery of comprehensive care to patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities while providing ongoing clinical guidance and mentorship to medical staff. Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical personnel and chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee quarterly. Assist in Department of Health survey preparedness, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and implement new clinical programs. Provide direct patient care to residents and stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to evolve clinical offerings. This part-time weekly role in Tyler, TX offers a salary of $60,000-$90,000, paid time off, and malpractice insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Must be able to stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred
