Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies across Springfield, IL. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle, conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, and load/unload vehicles with appropriate equipment. Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules while maintaining professional interactions with clients and teammates. Demonstrate safe, courteous driving behavior and adapt to varying routes, weather conditions, and physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:59 PM with fixed schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must participate in and pass a 3rd party administered Fitness for Duty physical examination
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
