Job Summary
MedSpeed Medical Driver is responsible for safely operating a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials within Pennsylvania. Duties include using a hand-held scanning device to track items, following operating procedures and schedules, presenting a professional image to clients, loading/unloading materials, performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, and adapting to route changes across multiple sites. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety, with weekend overnight shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 10:30pm–6:00am) and a $1.00/hr shift differential. Training is provided through the Blue Shirt Certified program, and benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, on-demand pay, and company-paid vehicle use.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Criminal background check
- Motor vehicle record review
- Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Excellent driving history
- Ability to operate in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with technology and scanning devices
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
