Job Summary
MedSpeed Medical Driver delivers lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and hospital supplies in a company vehicle. Responsibilities include safely operating a hand-held scanning device to track items, performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, loading/unloading materials, maintaining a professional appearance, and ensuring route duties adapt to client needs. The role requires strong customer service, dependable and reliable performance, the ability to follow procedures, and the capacity to navigate varying routes and weather conditions. This part-time position is scheduled for overnights and weekends, with weekend shift differential, and may involve long-distance driving within Pennsylvania. A criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR review are required, along with vaccination where mandated by location.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver’s license for 3 years
- Able to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Criminal background check
- Motor vehicle record (MVR) review
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to lift items off storage racks
- Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Excellent driving history
