Job Summary
Overnight Medical Driver in Columbus, OH responsible for safely driving a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and other materials. You will operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle, perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, load/unload equipment, maintain a professional image, and collaborate with teammates and clients. Route duties vary by client and may change; must demonstrate safe driving, follow procedures, and adapt to different routes and schedules. Company-provided vehicle, shift differential for 10pm–5am, and opportunities for career advancement and benefits are offered. Training provided and required background checks, drug screening, and MVR review are part of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Background check and MVR review
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to operate a hand-held scanning device
- Ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
