Job Summary
Medical Driver responsibilities include safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and related materials in a company vehicle; operating a hand-held scanner to track items; complying with policies and service schedules; presenting a professional image; loading/unloading; maintaining safe driving behavior; conducting pre/post-trip inspections; and adapting route duties based on client needs. The role emphasizes teamwork, collaboration with clients, and contributing to a reliable MedSpeed culture. Required qualifications include being at least 19 with an active driver’s license for 3 years, dependability and reliability, comfort with technology, ability to follow procedures, passing drug and alcohol screens, favorable MVR history, vaccination as per location, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and capable driving in varying conditions; candidates must pass background checks and motor vehicle record reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Motor vehicle record (MVR) review as part of employment
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Operate company vehicles equipped with dashcam recording systems
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
