Job Summary
Medical Delivery Driver for MedSpeed in Temple, TX. Drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and related materials; operate a hand-held scanner; perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections; load/unload items; maintain professional appearance and interaction with clients; follow routes and adapt to changing assignments; collaborate with teammates and clients to support healthcare operations. Training provided (Blue Shirt Certified program) and opportunities for advancement. Requires strong customer service, dependable work ethic, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and passing background/drug screens. Weekend schedule with Saturday/Sunday shifts; pay starts at $16/hr with weekend differential of $1, totaling $17/hr. Location-based safety and compliance checks apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Background check and motor vehicle record review will be conducted
