Job Summary
MedSpeed Medical Driver role involves safely operating a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and related materials. You will use a hand-held scanning device to track items, follow strict policies and schedules, load/unload cargo, maintain a professional appearance, and complete pre/post-trip inspections. Route duties vary by client and may change; teamwork and adaptability are essential as you collaborate with teammates and clients to support healthcare environments. Strong customer service, dependability, and an ability to follow procedures are required; candidates must have an active driver’s license for 3+ years, pass drug/alcohol screens, and be able to handle varying physical demands. Training is provided through MedSpeed’s Blue Shirt Certified program, with opportunities for advancement and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401(k), on-demand pay, PTO, and a company vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Active driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screen
- Criminal background check
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable with technology and dashcam recordings
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Excellent driving history
