Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail across various routes. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle and load/unload vehicles with appropriate equipment. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain a clean and orderly vehicle, and demonstrate safe, courteous driving behavior in varying weather conditions. Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules while presenting a professional image to clients and the public. Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to handle varying item weights and physical demands
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
