Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies across various routes in Tacoma, WA. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle while strictly observing operating policies and service schedules. Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment, conduct pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain a clean, neat interior. Demonstrate safe, courteous driving behavior and professional interactions with clients and teammates. Adapt to varying route assignments and physical demands, including lifting items up to 50 pounds and walking long distances. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with fixed schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
