Job Summary
Drive a MedSpeed Van Monday through Friday from 6:15 AM to 2:30 PM, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections. Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment, including lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior across various roads and weather conditions while maintaining a professional image with clients. Perform route duties that vary based on client needs, requiring adaptability and teamwork with teammates and customers.
Required Qualifications
- 19 years of age
- active driver's license for 3 years
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
