Job Summary
Medical Driver for MedSpeed delivering lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related materials in a company vehicle. Responsibilities include safely operating a hand-held scanner, loading/unloading items, performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining a professional image with clients. Route duties vary by client needs; drivers must demonstrate teamwork and adaptability, and support a collaborative MedSpeed culture. The role requires strong customer service, 19+ years old with 3+ years of driving, a valid license, and COVID-19 vaccination (and booster where required by location). Shift is Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–11:45 PM in San Diego, CA, with a defined full-time schedule and company vehicle provided.
Required Qualifications
- MUST ALREADY BE FULLY VAXXED FOR COVID-19 WITH PROOF OF VACCINES AND BOOSTER
- Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screening
- Must have excellent driving history
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a hand-held scanning device to track items
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift
- Familiarity with technology
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods
- Possess a valid driver’s license for 3 years and be able to drive a company/non-commercial vehicle
