Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies while operating a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment, and perform route duties that vary based on client needs. Maintain a professional image with clients and the public, demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Work fixed schedules Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
