Job Summary
Provide nursing interventions, administer medications, and record vitals, diaper changes, and feeding schedules in the EMR system for special needs children. Assist the Charge Nurse with assessments, establish care plans aligned with physician orders, and collaborate on identifying patient needs. Support families by educating them on chronic illness management and reinforcing home care skills. Train CNAs on new skills, assist with developmental activities, and ride transport for ventilator patients when necessary. Follow all emergency procedures and infection control guidelines while using critical thinking to improve patient care practices.
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Proven experience as an LPN
- Knowledge of pediatric care methods and emergency procedures
- Familiarity with health and safety guidelines, including infection control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Responsible, compassionate, and patient
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with EMR systems
