Job Summary
Mid-level Contracting & Credentialing Specialist responsible for end-to-end provider credentialing and facility privileging, payor contracting, and Joint Commission accreditation support across clinical operations. Manages CAQH, PECOS, NPI, DEA documentation, renewal tracking, and master contract repositories; partners with billing and leadership to ensure compliant, timely credentialing and contracting workflows, and supports licensing renewals and site-visit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare contracting, credentialing, or a combined role
- Experience with payor credentialing (Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial) and facility privileging
- Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation standards and survey preparation
- Experience negotiating or supporting renegotiation of payor contracts
- Knowledge of fee-for-service and ancillary contracting processes
- Proficiency with CAQH, PECOS, NPI Registry, and credentialing management systems
