Job Summary
Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions for Soldiers and their families while supporting readiness and humanitarian missions. Deliver care using innovative technologies at world-class medical facilities within the U.S. Army health care team. Maintain eligibility for board certification and complete at least one year of approved graduate medical education internship. Requirements include a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school, a current U.S. medical license, and U.S. citizenship. Applicants must be between 21 and 42 years of age. This role offers access to specialized leadership training, educational loan repayment, and a competitive benefit package for those joining the Army Medical Corps.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Eligibility for board certification
- Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
- Completion of a training program in psychiatry or residency in the U.S.
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
- U.S. citizenship
