Job Summary
3rd-shift Quality Inspector / Medical Component Finishing Operator responsibilities include inspecting and measuring fabric-based products (EPI, PPI, CPI, width, diameter, thickness), detecting defects, recording results manually or electronically, and entering data into tracking databases. Operator uses equipment such as optical comparator, microscopes, laser cutting, heat setting, and SEM; performs scouring, cutting, sewing, skeining, coiling, kitting, and heat pressing as needed; packs products for final inspection and packaging; and contributes to process improvements through data collection. Requires high school graduate or equivalent, 0-1 year related experience, GMP/SOP/WIs literacy, basic math, ERP familiarity, teamwork, and strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 0-1 year related experience
- Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices and working within regulated industries
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Possess basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work in a high paced environment and follow WI’s and SOP’s
- Ability to properly complete paperwork as required according to work instructions, standards, or other specifications
- Excellent dependability and reliability
- Strong organizational/time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with various levels of the organization
- Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office for email
- Willingness to accept change, learn, and work with new processes
- Familiarity with an ERP system preferred
