Medical Component Finishing Operator I - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Inspect and measure product visually or via microscopes to record fabric characterization metrics like EPI, PPI, and CPI. Identify defects and contamination per Work Instructions, SOPs, and internal specifications while utilizing optical comparators, hot knife equipment, and Scanning Electron Microscopy. Scour, heat set, and cut product to specification using manual or laser cutting machines, then pack items for final inspection. Record test results manually or electronically and enter data into tracking databases and the ERP system to support yield improvement trends. Perform additional processes including sewing, skeining, coiling, kitting, and heat pressing as assigned. Work the 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm) with initial 1st shift training. A $1,000 hiring bonus is paid after six months of employment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 0-1 year related experience
  • Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices and working within regulated industries
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Possess basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a high paced environment and follow WI's and SOP's
  • Ability to properly complete paperwork as required according to work instructions, standards, or other specifications
  • Excellent dependability and reliability
  • Strong organizational/time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with various levels of the organization
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office for email
  • Willingness to accept change, learn, and work with new processes
  • Must be available for 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm with training on 1st shift for 1 month

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with an ERP system preferred
