Job Summary
Inspect and measure product visually or through microscopes to record fabric characterization including Ends per Inch, Pics per Inch, Courses per Inch, width, diameter, and thickness. Identify defects and contamination according to Work Instructions, Visual Inspection Criteria, SOPs, and internal specifications while conducting extensive data collection to support yield improvement. Scour product to remove contamination and spin finishes, heat set products to establish final construction, and cut materials manually or via laser. Enter visual and physical testing results into tracking databases and ERP systems to report quantities and time spent on jobs. Perform additional processes such as sewing, skeining, coiling, kitting, and heat pressing. Work the 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm with initial 1st shift training, earning a $1,000 hiring bonus after six months.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 0-1 year related experience
- Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices and working within regulated industries
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Possess basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work in a high paced environment and follow WI's and SOP's
- Ability to properly complete paperwork as required according to work instructions, standards, or other specifications
- Excellent dependability and reliability
- Strong organizational/time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with various levels of the organization
- Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office for email
- Willingness to accept change, learn, and work with new processes
- Shift: 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm with training on 1st shift for 1 month
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with an ERP system preferred
