Job Summary
Follow up on insurance balances or self-pay accounts to ensure timely payment or account conversion. Communicate clearly by phone and in person with clients and staff while maintaining productivity standards. Obtain updated demographic information to comply with insurance billing requirements and forward changes to responsible staff. Operate computer systems to input follow-up notes and retrieve collection and patient data. Write effective appeals to insurance companies. Requires two years of billing or collections experience, strong communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities. Full-time day shift at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- Two years' experience in billing and/or collections in a professional or hospital setting or equivalent
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required
