Job Summary
Medical Collections Specialist (on-site) for Tracy, CA. Full-time position (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm) handling insurance collections, contacting insurance companies regarding past due bills, entering EOBs, and following up on unpaid claims. Requires 1–2 years medical collections experience, ability to type 31–45 WPM, and ability to read/interpret medical records, with knowledge of EOBs, Medicare IVR, HMO/PPO, and Medicare criteria. On-site role at the Tracy office with standard full-time hours and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Collections Experience (1-2 Years Minimum)
- Must type 31-45 words per minute
- Ability to read and interpret medical records
- Knowledge of Endeavor and/or Medicare IVR
- Knowledge of how to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Knowledge of HMO’s and PPO’s
- Knowledge of patients’ medical records for determining correct Medicare criteria
