Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the medical coding team, including onboarding, work allocation, scheduling, and performance monitoring. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations by conducting quality reviews, coding audits, and resolving billing issues. Develop and analyze reports to track KPIs, improve accuracy, and optimize workload distribution. Provide ongoing training on new policies and coding rule changes while collaborating with providers and revenue cycle staff. This remote position requires a permanent New Mexico residence and availability for office support if technical issues arise.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of medical coding experience
- 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Certification in at least one of the following: CPC, CPC-P, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT
- Permanent address in New Mexico or willingness to relocate to New Mexico
- Ability to come into the office in Albuquerque, New Mexico if network or laptop issues occur
