Job Summary
Conduct accurate and compliant coding services for member clinics and acute care hospitals by extracting clinical data from medical records and electronic health systems. Review patient encounters to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring full compliance with payer requirements and organizational policies. Proactively escalate complex coding issues to supervisors and collaborate on resolving challenges while recommending process enhancements to improve operational efficiency. Support reimbursement optimization by reviewing code assignments critical to third-party payer claims and obtaining additional information from providers via Epic messaging as needed.
Required Qualifications
