Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring all coded services are assigned with the correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes and are billed in accordance with government and third-party payer guidelines in a timely manner. Demonstrates working knowledge of coding facets, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies; performs related duties and projects as assigned; and supports continuous improvement in coding accuracy and revenue cycle performance. Requires proficiency in the application of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS, with experience in oncology and multispecialty coding, and familiarity with EMR systems (Centricity, OncoEMR). Strong attention to detail, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a multi-site environment.
Required Qualifications
- CPC
- CPC-A
- CCS
- CCS-P
- Minimum of 2 years of professional fee coding experience in medical oncology coding, radiation oncology coding, or multispecialty coding
- Proficient knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with EMR and practice management software (Centricity and OncoEMR preferred)
- Background screening and vaccinations as condition of employment
